Brand story:
Dana Cooper resort wear started with a beach sarong featuring the Bermuda Bay Grape leaf that grows on a strong, colourful tree found along the seashores of Bermuda. The little brand grew to encompass bold prints on luxurious high performance sportswear fabrics, charmingly illustrated children’s books and various published items. It has been featured in VOGUE and sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, A.S.Cooper’s, Calypso and stores throughout the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean such as The Ritz Carlton boutique in Montego Bay, Jamaica, The Four Seasons in Palm Beach as well as being a licensee for The America’s Cup.

Founder story:
Dana Cooper, designer, illustrator and owner of Dana Cooper Bermuda was born and raised in Bermuda. She spent a large part of her childhood outdoors especially on the water with her family and father who was an Olympic sailor. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Parsons School of Design and studied at The National Academy of Design in New York City, where she apprenticed under George Nama and won the Edward Mooney award.
After University Dana became an Art Director and designer for magazines and newspapers in the U.S, China and Bermuda; W Magazine, Sports Illustrated, The Week, Talk Magazine, Wall Street Journal, The New York Sun, The Washington Post and Citi Edition, the first foreign licensed magazine in Beijing, China, Conde Nast Publications and The RG Magazine in Bermuda, where she received an award for editorial design from The New York Society of Publication Design.

Authored and illustrated children’s books; My Bermuda ABC, My Bermuda 123, and Bermuda Baby ABC.
The Artist; Dallas Museum Gift Shop, featured in The Bermuda Bacardi Biennial and permanently in Pierogi Gallery files in New York.
Ms. Cooper’s journey landed her in Beijing China for eighteen months where she was introduced to the textile industry in Bali, Indonesia. Weaving her professional experience, travel and childhood inspiration, she founded her private fashion label “Dana Cooper Bermuda”.
